Artificial Intelligence (AI) is steadily reshaping various sectors of human life, and transforming the way people work, interact, and access information. In education, AI offers innovative solutions that enhance both teaching and learning processes. This study investigates the application of AI in music education at the Federal College of Education, Okene, with a focus on how AI-driven tools are being incorporated into music instruction, the benefits derived from AI usage, and the challenges encountered by educators and students. Employing both qualitative and quantitative methods, the research explores the extent to which AI supports students’ creativity, skill development, and engagement. Findings indicate that AI fosters personalised learning, interactive experiences, and practical support in music composition and performance. However, limitations such as inadequate technological infrastructure, lack of proper training, and resistance to change pose obstacles to full adoption of AI. The study recommends the need for strategic integration of AI and continuous professional development to harness its full potential in music education.
